In a brazen display of trend bucking, we actually want to make your life easier. Most of our recipes take a mere 30 minutes or less to prepare and cook. Of course we also provide more complicated ones that take up to 50 minutes, for the aspiring MasterChef in you!

We know how picky the young ‘uns can be, but we’ve got them sussed! Every week we have recipes that kids will love; not too heavy on the veg, no ‘gross’ ingredients or ‘weird’ spices and packed full of goodness (but well camouflaged, so they actually eat it). We do our darndest to incorporate the maximum amount of vitamins, minerals and protein in every meal, so that your little angels can grow up big, strong and full of gusto (and Gousto)!

In addition to the recipe specific allergen information provided, due to production and packing methods Gousto Dinner Kits may also contain low levels of the following allergens: Cereals containing gluten; Crustaceans; Eggs; Fish; Peanuts; Soya; Milk; Nuts: almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews ,pecan nuts ,brazil nuts, pistachio nuts, macadamia nuts; Celery; Sesame; Sulphur dioxide and Sulphites; Lupin; Molluscs.

We are currently unable to cater for special dietary requirements at this time - but we will definitely keep it on our radar!

Healthy eating doesn’t have to mean eating like a rabbit. It’s really all about having a well-balanced diet; packed with just the right amount of essential nutrients to keep you on form. Our recipes are expertly crafted with healthy eating in mind; never compromising on taste, but providing balanced measures of protein, carbohydrates and vegetables.

Gousto meals are 100% free from that sinking feeling of regret that invariably follows after you indulge in a takeaway. Instead, we can guarantee you’ll be left feeling both accomplished and thoroughly satisfied. And maybe even a little bit smug. 

Where do you source your ingredients from?

+ - From the farm

All of our vegetables and meat come directly from nature’s doorstep to ours. We source fresh produce from local farms in Lincolnshire; famed for its fertile soil and rural charm. There’s no need to scour the earth when you have everything you need right here! Plus it’s a lot more considerate to the long-suffering environment.

+ - From Britain

The majority of our ingredients come from right here in Blighty. We've got such fantastic produce here; with vegetables, meat and fish of incomparable quality, it would be bonkers to look elsewhere! Of course we also have Italian, French, Japanese and other speciality suppliers, otherwise we’d be hard pressed to offer any authentic international flavours.

We tailor all of our recipes to the seasons, so you always eat the freshest produce that's growing on a farm somewhere right this moment. For instance, in autumn we have lots of pumpkin, fennel, beetroot and pear recipes. Spring brings us asparagus, rhubarb and sea trout. And summer grants a plethora of fresh fruit and green vegetables. And questionable swimwear of course.

Our sourcing team are pretty much bosom buddies with our farmers and suppliers. Since the dawn of Gousto we have fostered long-term relationships with suppliers so that we really know, and trust, where the food comes from. For you, this means no vague assurances or guesswork. For us, it means we literally know our stuff. Challenge us! 

+ - From nature

We look no further than nature for our food; it’s usually right about these things. We exclude any unsavoury extras like additives, preservatives and chemicals, opting instead for wholesome, natural goodness. We buy as many vegetables as possible from local British farms, so that they’re positively brimming with freshness when being packed in your box!

+ - Top quality ingredients

Our sourcing team channels an unfathomable amount of effort into finding the best possible quality for you. Not that we’re complaining, it keeps us in shape! Our smoked fish, for example, comes from a smokehouse in Wiltshire. Our meat is 100% British and always will be. Take our chicken, it’s supplied by a family owned butchery in Lancashire (and they get it from Cumbria). And our eggs? They come from a free-range farmer called Steven Rowbottom – you couldn’t make it up! He’s based a mere 2 miles away from our warehouse, in egg miles that’s less than a stone (or egg’s) throw. 

Is it a subscription and how do I sign up?

+ - No commitment, no fee, no lock-in

Like a date with the Fonz, Gousto recipe kits come with no strings attached! When you sign up to Gousto, the default weekly delivery is set up for your account. But there is no club fee, no annual fee and you can pause or cancel your membership at any time. You pay for the food you get delivered, and nothing more. Whenever you’re away you can simply skip deliveries in the “My Deliveries” tab of your account.

But remember!

We need 3 days of notice to prepare for your box. If you want to skip a delivery, remember to do that in your account by noon 3 days before the delivery

+ - Can I get servings for more than 4 people, or for 1 person?

At the moment we only offer servings for 2 or 4 people. Our serving sizes are generous, so the servings for 4 would serve a family of 2 parents and 3 pre-teen children well. If you'd like to entertain a party, you can order the same recipe up to 3 times, allowing you to get servings for up to 12 people and make that party preparation much easier - lots of our customers do and they rave about the results!

We don't currently offer single servings, but we do have a number of single customers who cook servings for two and eat the second serving for lunch the next day; a great way to save time and money. As always, if you’re planning to eat food later please chill immediately in your fridge, eat within 24hrs and reheat until piping hot.

+ - We plan ahead

The majority of our produce is plucked straight from nature’s bosom and packed into your box, so we need to give our organic farmers and sourcing partners a bit of a head’s up to handle your requests. Choose your recipes by noon 3 days before the schedule delivery, and we’ll be able to deliver farm fresh ingredients straight to your door!

Gousto meals provide a tastier, healthier and more balanced way to eat; however to get the most out of them it’s recommended you enjoy them regularly. With over 300 recipes and new creations being cooked up all the time, there is plenty to look forward to. And at 16% cheaper than the average supermarket spend, you’ll find your wallet is fuller as well as your stomach!

+ - How much are the weekly boxes?

We offer 6 types of weekly boxes at the moment, and here’s a breakdown of what they are and how much they cost per week. There is no price variation if only veggie recipes are selected.

  • 2 recipes for 2 people - £27.49 per week
  • 2 recipes for 4 people - £41.99 per week
  • 3 recipes for 2 people - £34.99 per week
  • 3 recipes for 4 people - £51.99 per week
  • 4 recipes for 2 people - £41.99 per week
  • 4 recipes for 4 people - £59.99 per week
+ - How do I subscribe?

It's easy peasy onion cheesy! Take a gander at this week’s menu then:

  • Select servings for 2 or for 4 people
  • Choose up to 4 recipes
  • Enter your post code
  • Choose your first delivery day and click "Checkout"

If you have a discount coupon, you can apply it to your first delivery at payment details step during the checkout. You will get a welcome email when you've successfully subscribed. Then you can check out your account to see more cool functions to set up your deliveries!


+ - Am I limited to 3 recipes on a weekly basis?

Absolutely not! You can choose 2—4 recipes per boxes, for 2 or 4 people. What’s more, you can now order up to 4 boxes each week, one on any free delivery day.

How does the delivery work?

+ - Available delivery days

You can choose to receive your box on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays between 8am—7pm. 

Due to our use of an external courier, we are unable to specify a smaller delivery window at the moment.


+ - Free delivery

We don’t charge a thing for delivery. It’s not free* or “free” just 100% FREE. 

+ - What if I'm not at home?

We don’t expect you to wait around for your box, in fact the majority of our customers are not at home when we deliver. Simply tell us where we can leave your box safely (with a neighbour, behind a gate, in the dog’s kennel) and our delivery folk will leave it there. Biodegradable packaging and cooling elements will keep all your food fresh and fabulous until midnight.

We apologise if your deliveries are affected by these restrictions. We are doing our best to expand the areas we cover and we hope to be able to deliver to you very soon.


+ - What if my delivery is delayed?

There are rare occasions where a delivery unfortunately cannot be made on the planned day due to reasons beyond our control. If your box is delayed until the next day, please check carefully that the icepacks in the woolcool chill bag are still over 50% frozen before using the contents. If you have a thermometer, please make sure the meat and fish have a temperature of 5°C or below and dairy products 8°C or below. If the icepacks are no longer partially frozen and/or you have any reason to doubt the integrity of the chilled items, please do not consume them and let us know as soon as possible.

Once I'm a customer, how does it work?

+ - Make your choices by order cut-off

To source your farm-fresh food and get everything ready for your delivery, we need your recipe choices by noon 3 days before delivery at the very latest. 

  • Order by Friday noon for delivery on Monday
  • Order by Sunday noon for delivery on Wednesday
  • Order by Tuesday noon for delivery on Friday
  • Order by Wednesday noon for delivery on Saturday


+ - A new menu every week

Every week, our talented chefs upload a sizzling new menu. From exotic eats to homely treats, there is something for every taste. Expect meat, fish and vegetarian options, varying in cooking time and skill level. 

+ - What if I don’t make choices?

If your subscription is active but no choice is made by the cut-off time for a reoccurring box, we'll simply prepare some of our most popular recipes for you according to your subscription setting.

+ - How to manage my deliveries?

There are 2 types of boxes you can schedule – reoccurring or one-off. The reoccurring boxes are controlled by your subscription, while one-off boxes need to be scheduled individually. You will use both the “My Deliveries” and the “Subscription” tabs in your account to manage deliveries.

Reoccurring boxes

The frequency, delivery day, size, servings and recipe type of a reoccurring box is determined by your subscription. You can change your subscription setting in the “Subscription” tab in your account. You can skip a reoccurring box, change it’s delivery day, size, servings and recipes at the “My deliveries” tab in your account. Remember – changes to a reoccurring box in “My deliveries” tab will only apply to that particular box.

One-off boxes

You can simply use the “My deliveries” tab to add one-off boxes. The settings for your one-off boxes are completely independent to your subscription, and it’ll NOT affect the settings of your future boxes. 


Don’t forget that both reoccurring and one-off boxes have the same cut-off time at noon 3 days before delivery


+ - What if I'm on holiday?

Simply use the “My deliveries” tab in your account to schedule your boxes around your holidays. If you are going on a long voyage, remember to put your subscription on hold until your return in the “Subscription” tab. 

Don’t forget to do this by the cut-off time at noon 3 days before delivery for it to take effect. Once your account is on hold, it’ll stay on hold until you reactivate it.


+ - How to change my details?

You can edit your personal information, manage your address book and change your payment details at the “My Details” tab in your account. Any changes you make prior to the cut-off time will be applied to your next delivery.

The cut-off time is always at noon 3 days before the delivery.


+ - Payment

Once you sign up, the full payment for your first box will be taken. If you change up the size of the box between signing up and the first order being processed by the system, the extra payment will be taken after the order is processed; if you change down the size of the box, a credit will be applied to your Gousto account for you to use on future orders.

Thereafter, we will charge your account whenever a delivery order has been accepted (once the cut-off time has past). Obviously we won't charge you if you skip deliveries.

+ - Account Credits

There are 4 types of credits in your Gousto account, and each of them have different expiry dates:

  1. Discount for first delivery: this will never expire.
  2. Compensation discount: this expires in 6 months.
  3. Refer-a-friend reward: this expires in 3 months
  4. Email/telephone offers: this is only valid for 2 weeks.



+ - The day of delivery

Your box will arrive on between 8am—7pm on your scheduled delivery day. 

Your food comes secured and fresh thanks to cooling elements in the box.


+ - Recycling

95% of the packaging materials we use are recyclable. Cardboard boxes can be disposed of in your recycling bins. The woolcool liners are biodegradable and can be put in the compost bin when taken out of the plastic!

Unfortunately we are currently unable to take back old boxes due to the fact that we are using external couriers to fulfil deliveries. We are very eco-conscious and are always looking at ways to reduce the amount of packaging we use. If you have any bright ideas to help us out, please let us know!

+ - How to cancel?

It’s easy as pie to cancel. Simply go to the “My details” tab in your account – you will find the cancellation link at the bottom left corner. 

Please remember: our suppliers need some notice if you want to cancel, so you’ll have to make your cancellation before the cut-off at noon 3 days before delivery for it to take effect.


+ - How should I store my ingredients?

We do everything we can to ensure that your ingredients reach you in tip top condition. Once they arrive, it’s important that you continue to take good care of them before they’re transformed into delicious dishes!


Most of our ingredients come with storage instructions. Here they all are in one place, for your convenience:


  • Pop fruit, veg, sauces, pastes, dairy and bread into the fridge to keep them fresh
  • Some herbs can be refrigerated: these have, you guessed it, “Keep Refrigerated” on the packs. Others, like basil, don’t really like the cold. Keep these in the cupboard instead (you can snip off the ends of the stalks and pop them in some water, a bit like you would with flowers, and leave at room temperature for optimum freshness!)
  • Meat and fish should always be stored in the fridge – freeze them when they arrive if you want to delay your use-by dates! Make sure you fully defrost them before cooking
  • Shellfish and crustaceans are best kept in the fridge and should not be refrozen
  • Tins, jars and other “dry” ingredients are best kept in the cupboard
