Cooking Instructions
Instructions for 2 people (double for 4)
1 One Pot Easy Chicken Biryani

Peel and slice the onion[s] finely

Heat a large, wide-based pan (preferably non-stick) with a matching lid, with 1 tbsp [2 tbsp] vegetable oil over a high heat

Once the pan is hot, add the sliced onion, curry powder and a pinch of salt and pepper

Cook for 2 min or until starting to soften

Meanwhile, trim and cut the green beans in half

Add the diced chicken to the pan

Cook for 2 min

Crumble in the chicken stock cube[s] and add the tomato paste 

Tip: add a drizzle of oil if the pan looks too dry

Cook for a further 2 min or until the chicken is starting to colour

Once coloured, add the basmati rice and stir to coat the grains in spice and oil

 

6  One Pot Easy Chicken Biryani

Add 350ml [700ml] water and bring to the boil over a high heat

Add the green beans and sultanas

Cover with a lid, reduce the heat to low and cook for 10 min or until the water has absorbed and the rice has cooked

Tip: add a little water if the rice is not cooked or the mixture is too dry
