I mean,\u00a0 just imagine your Mothers face if you announced that you won&#8217;t be making one this year?<\/p>\n<p>Well let me present you with an alternative. This chocolatey delight is quicker to make, but still looks like the traditional festive fave. Oh and its chocolate&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2>Christmas Pudding Idea<\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HeGvgROgl_w\" width=\"700\" height=\"390\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><b>Ingredients (for 5-8 servings):<\/b><\/h3>\n<h4><b>Equipment:<br \/>\n<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>pudding bowl<\/li>\n<li>tin foil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>For the pudding:<br \/>\n<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>90g flour<\/li>\n<li>20g cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>90g sugar<\/li>\n<li>90g butter<\/li>\n<li>30ml Greek yoghurt<\/li>\n<li>2 eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp baking powder<\/li>\n<li>a pinch of bicarbonate of soda<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b> For the sauce:<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>60g milk <span class=\"il\">chocolate<\/span><\/li>\n<li>60g dark <span class=\"il\">chocolate<\/span><\/li>\n<li>125ml double cream<\/li>\n<li>40g golden syrup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b> Method:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, eggs, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, yoghurt and butter in a food processor and blitz until fully mixed<\/li>\n<li>Grease\u00a0the inside of a plastic pudding bowl and lid with a knob of butter<\/li>\n<li>Empty the pudding batter from the food processor into the pudding bowl &#8211; it should only come halfway up the bowl<\/li>\n<li>Smooth\u00a0down the batter in the pudding bowl with the back of a spoon and put the lid on<\/li>\n<li><b>Wrap<\/b> the pudding bowl tightly in tin foil &#8211; it needs to be fully sealed to prevent water from getting in!<\/li>\n<li><b>Bring<\/b> a pan of water with a matching lid to the boil, add the tin foil wrapped pudding bowl, cover with the pan lid and steam the pudding for an hour and a half<\/li>\n<li>Whenthe pudding is nearly ready, add the milk <span class=\"il\">chocolate<\/span>, dark <span class=\"il\">chocolate<\/span>, double cream and golden syrup to a pan. Gently heat the pan until the <span class=\"il\">chocolate<\/span> has melted, then\u00a0remove from the heat and whisk to combine<\/li>\n<li>Serve your pudding with the <span class=\"il\">chocolate<\/span> sauce drizzled over (and cream or brandy butter for added decadence!)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7101\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gousto.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Chocolate-Christmas-Pudding-gif-3.gif\" alt=\"Chocolate Christmas Pudding Recipe\" width=\"601\" height=\"339\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Have you seen some of our other Christmas recipes?
