Hot chocolate on a stick is certainly not breaking news, and you can get it in many (crowded, expensive, hectic) shops. But\u00a0what better time to get messy with chocolate in your own kitchen than in the run-up to Christmas?<\/p>\n<p>Some other recipes include cream and condensed milk, but we found that using these makes the chocolate\u00a0pretty soft, leaving sticky marks in containers and gift-wraps. Sticky marks don&#8217;t spark a lot of Christmas joy, so we&#8217;ve put together\u00a0this smudge-proof (and just as delicious) version instead.<\/p>\n<h2>Hot Chocolate on a Stick Recipe<\/h2>\n<p>Here are\u00a0our easy, no-mess, non-sticky chocolates on sticks. They turn out solid, which means you can get creative with moulds and make them extra festive. They\u00a0also have a decent shelf-life, which means that they&#8217;re perfect for surprising your friends, or for indulging your lucky self on those cosy winter nights You can even use them to make the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gousto.co.uk\/blog\/ultimate-christmas-ice-cream-dessert-recipe\"><strong>Ultimate\u00a0Christmas Ice Cream Dessert<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>(for 10-12 sticks)<\/em><strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100g milk chocolate<\/li>\n<li>100g white chocolate<\/li>\n<li>100g dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup cocoa<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 cups icing sugar<\/li>\n<li>mini marshmallows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7063\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gousto.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Gousto-2016-Christmas-2.jpg\" alt=\"Christmas Hot Chocolate On A Stick\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1365\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Break<\/strong> the chocolate into small pieces. Place in a bowl over a pot of hot water. Mix to melt completely. Be careful not to overheat!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Combine<\/strong> the melted chocolate with icing sugar and cocoa. The mixture will be relatively thick, similar to brownie batter<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spoon<\/strong> the mixture into a piping bag (or a sandwich bag with a corner cut off) and pipe into an ice-cube tray<\/li>\n<li><strong>Insert<\/strong> sticks or wooden spoons into the middle of each cube and decorate with marshmallows.
