These Cinnamon Swirls will spice up your festive season with a sublime Christmassy smell, enjoy the for dessert or for an indulgent Christmas day breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>After you make these, you&#8217;ll have half the spice mix leftover \u2013 why not use it in your festive recipes to add a little bit of Christmas to the flavours (it will work in sweet and in savoury) \u2013 spicing the stuffing for your roast, or making the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gousto.co.uk\/blog\/ultimate-christmas-ice-cream-dessert-recipe\">Ultimate Christmas Ice Cream Dessert<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients for 12 swirls:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7154\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gousto.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Gousto-2016-Christmas-10.jpg\" alt=\"Christmas Spiced Cinnamon Swirls Recipe Ingredients\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1365\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 sheet ready-made puff pastry<\/li>\n<li>50g butter<\/li>\n<li>2 tangerines<\/li>\n<li>3 tbsp brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1.5 tsp ground cloves<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp nutmeg<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp ground ginger<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp allspice<\/li>\n<li>3 tbsp icing sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0Preheat<\/strong> the oven to 180\u00b0c\/ 160\u00b0C (fan)\/ 350\u00b0F\/ Gas 4<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0Mix<\/strong> your spices. Zest the tangerines into the spice mix. Melt the butter in a pan over the stove or in a microwave<br \/>\n<em>Tip: Smell the mix &#8211; if it&#8217;s not bringing you enough Christmas nostalgia, add extra spices of choice.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0Unroll<\/strong> the pastry and spread about 2\/3 of the butter onto it. With a sieve, sprinkle\u00a0sugar evenly over the top, then sprinkle about half of the spice mix<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.\u00a0Roll<\/strong> the longest edge of the pastry inwards, making sure it&#8217;s tight. Brush the final edge with butter to make it stick.
