And yes, we\u2019ve smothered them in Tony\u2019s Chocolonely.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve never tried Tony\u2019s, be warned. It\u2019s dangerously delicious and more moreish than a bag of popcorn at the movies. That said, it\u2019s Fairtrade and B Corp certified, so it\u2019s your civic duty to melt it, drizzle it and scoff it by the pack.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Ingredients (serves 10)<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For the sauce:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">100g 70% Dark Chocolonely<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">200g Caramel Sea Salt\u00a0 Milk Chocolonely<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">250g double cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For the Rabanadas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">20 slices of baguette<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">3 eggs<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">600ml milk<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">75g condensed milk<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">1 tsp cinnamon<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">1 tsp ground nutmeg<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Vegetable oil for frying<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For the cinnamon sugar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">200g caster sugar<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">2 tsp cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Method<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Step 1: <\/b>Combine the eggs, condensed milk, milk, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg together in a bowl. Then whisk until smooth. This is your custard<\/p>\n<p><b>Step 2: <\/b>Slice the baguette at an angle, then toast it in the oven until it\u2019s crispy and dry<\/p>\n<p><b>Step 3: <\/b>Dip the toasted bread into the custard and let it sit for 5 minutes. Drain, then pan fry in vegetable oil \u2014 just until\u00a0 it\u2019s crispy on both sides. Pop the fried bread on some kitchen roll to remove any excess oil, then toss it in cinnamon sugar. These are your Rabanadas<\/p>\n<p><b>Step 4: <\/b>Break the chocolate into small chunks. Heat the cream until it\u2019s nearly boiling, then pour it over the chocolate. Stir to combine until everything has melted. Then keep it warm on a low heat, in a heavy bottom saucepan. This is your chocolate sauce<\/p>\n<p><b>Step 5: <\/b>Plate up the Rabanadas drizzled with warm chocolate sauce and topped with dark chocolate shavings.
