Not only do they taste amazing fresh, they\u2019re hands-down the most fun thing to make with kids, your partner or friends.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Top tip:<\/strong> Double or triple the recipe, and freeze them for a rainy day.<\/p>\n<h2>Korean Kimchi Dumplings<\/h2>\n<p>Makes around 25<\/p>\n<p>Cook time: 1-1\u00bd hours<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>100g bean sprouts<\/p>\n<p>1 shallot<\/p>\n<p>5g chives<\/p>\n<p>1 clove garlic<\/p>\n<p>150g kimchi, drained (here&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/gousto.co.uk\/blog\/homemade-kimchi\">how to make kimchi at home<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>1 egg<\/p>\n<p>200g minced pork (or use 200g Meatless Farm mince for a vegan option)<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp soy sauce<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp sesame oil<\/p>\n<p>25 dumpling wrappers<\/p>\n<h2>Method<\/h2>\n<p><b>Step 1:<\/b> Blanch the bean sprouts in boiling water for 30 seconds then drain them on a clean tea towel until completely dry. Once they\u2019re dry, chop the shallot, garlic, kimchi, chives and bean sprouts as finely as possible.<\/p>\n<p><b>Step 2:<\/b> Mix the chopped ingredients with egg, mince, soy sauce, sesame oil and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl until well combined.<\/p>\n<p><b>Top tip: <\/b>To make sure you\u2019ve seasoned your dumpling filling enough, fry a spoonful in a pan until cooked through. Taste, then add more salt and pepper if needed.<\/p>\n<p><b>Step 3: <\/b>Place one dumpling wrapper in the palm of your hand. Brush a little water around the edge, then add a teaspoonful of your dumpling mixture to the middle of the wrapper, then fold over to seal.<\/p>\n<p><b>To fold the dumplings: <\/b>The easiest way is to fold the sides up to meet each other and then pinch along the edge to seal.\u00a0 For more techniques <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hCqf-h95m2A\">check out this video<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>To steam: <\/b>Boil water in a steamer, and line the steamer rack or basket with baking paper to prevent sticking.<\/p>\n<p>Place the dumplings in the basket, making sure they don\u2019t touch. Cover and steam for 10 minutes, then remove and serve.<\/p>\n<p><b>To pan-fry: <\/b>Add a little oil to the bottom of a non stick frying pan with a matching lid and heat it on medium.<\/p>\n<p>Add the dumplings to the pan, making sure they don\u2019t touch each other, or they will stick together. Cook for 3 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom, then add about 15ml water to the pan.<\/p>\n<p>Swiftly cover with a lid and cook for a further 5 minutes until all the water has evaporated, the bottoms are crisp again and the meat is cooked through.<\/p>\n<h2>What is Gousto?<\/h2>\n<p>Dinner, but not as you know it.
