Kind of. Over the years I\u2019ve learned that a great Christmas party starts with great Christmas appetisers\u00a0\u2014 and these merry stuffing sticks are a real crowd pleaser. Plus they\u2019re not too complicated or time-consuming, so that\u2019s a win, win.<\/p>\n<p>Adapt the recipe to make more or less depending on the size of your household this Christmas, taking into account that you\u2019ll want to pinch a few for yourself before serving!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients (Makes 5 balls as a starter)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 shallot<\/li>\n<li>1 garlic clove<\/li>\n<li>Knob of butter<\/li>\n<li>60g panko breadcrumbs<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp dried sage<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd chicken stock cube<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method (Takes 30 mins)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Peel and finely chop the shallot and garlic. Dissolve \u00bd chicken stock cube in 150ml boiled water.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a large, wide-based pan with a large knob of butter over a medium heat and add the chopped shallot and garlic. Cook for 2-3 min.<\/li>\n<li>Add the dried sage and cook for a further 30 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Combine the chicken stock, panko breadcrumbs and the sage and onion butter in a bowl. Set aside to cool and absorb the liquid.<\/li>\n<li>Once cooled, divide the stuffing into 5 even balls and add to a baking tray. Put them in the oven for 10-12 min or until browned.<\/li>\n<li>Once browned, remove from the oven and serve on skewers (or cocktail sticks) with cranberry sauce.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>What is Gousto?<\/h2>\n<p>Dinner, but not as you know it.
