And when it comes to burgers, this one takes the biscuit (or bacon!). It combines a juicy British beef patty with melty cheese, burger sauce, crispy bacon and a buttery-soft brioche bun. Polish it off with rosemary fries and a crisp gem lettuce salad.<\/p>\n

Ingredients (Serves 2)<\/h2>\n

1 little gem lettuce<\/p>\n

5g rosemary (ideally fresh)<\/p>\n

40g cheddar cheese<\/p>\n

90g smoked streaky bacon<\/p>\n

20g mustard ketchup<\/p>\n

250g British beef mince<\/p>\n

1 tbsp Henderson’s relish or Worcestershire sauce<\/p>\n

2\u00a0 butter brioche buns<\/p>\n

30g panko breadcrumbs<\/p>\n

4 white potatoes<\/p>\n

50ml mayonnaise<\/p>\n

30ml tomato ketchup<\/p>\n

Olive oil<\/p>\n

Salt and pepper<\/p>\n

Vegetable oil<\/p>\n

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 220\u00b0C\/ 200\u00b0C (fan)\/ 425\u00b0F\/ Gas 7. Cut the\u00a0potatoes<\/strong> (skins on) into chips and add them to a baking tray. <\/span><\/div>\n

Strip the\u00a0rosemary leaves<\/strong> off their stems and chop as finely as possible.<\/span><\/div>\n

Combine the<\/picture>\u00a0chopped rosemary<\/strong>\u00a0with a\u00a0generous pinch of\u00a0<\/picture>salt<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 this is your<\/picture> rosemary salt.<\/strong>\"Ultimate<\/picture><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Step 2: <\/span><\/strong>Sprinkle the\u00a0rosemary salt<\/strong>\u00a0over the chips with a generous drizzle of\u00a0vegetable oil<\/strong>\u00a0and a pinch of\u00a0pepper<\/strong> and\u00a0mix it all together.<\/span><\/div>\n

Put the tray in the oven for 20-25 min or until crisp, golden and cooked through \u2013 these are your\u00a0rosemary salted fries<\/strong><\/div>\n

Step 3:<\/strong> While the fries are cooking, add the\u00a0beef mince<\/strong>\u00a0to a bowl with the\u00a0panko breadcrumbs<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Henderson’s Relish. <\/strong>Season generously with\u00a0salt<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0black pepper<\/strong>, mix it all together (clean hands is the best way!), then shape into equal sized burger patties.<\/span><\/div>\n

Step 4:<\/strong> Add the\u00a0burger patties<\/strong>\u00a0to an oiled baking tray with the\u00a0smoked streaky bacon.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Put the tray in the oven for 12-15 min or until the burgers are cooked through (no pink meat!) and the bacon is crispy.<\/div>\n

Step 5:<\/strong> While the burgers are cooking, combine the\u00a0mustard ketchup<\/strong>,\u00a0mayonnaise<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0tomato<\/strong>\u00a0ketchup<\/strong>\u00a0in a small bowl \u2013 this is your\u00a0burger sauce. <\/strong>Grate the cheddar cheese.<\/strong><\/span>\"Ultimate<\/picture><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Chop the\u00a0remaining little gem<\/strong>\u00a0into quarters, then add to a bowl and toss with 1-2 tbsp\u00a0olive oil\u00a0<\/strong>and season lightly with\u00a0salt\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0pepper\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 these are your\u00a0dressed gem wedges<\/strong><\/div>\n
