Here\u2019s how to rustle them up:<\/p>\n<h2>Easy homemade marshmallow recipe<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9 leaves of gelatine<\/li>\n<li>450g caster sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp glucose<\/li>\n<li>2 egg whites<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>corn flour<\/li>\n<li>icing sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Soak the gelatine leaves in 140ml of cold water for 10 min<\/li>\n<li>Combine the caster sugar and glucose in a saucepan with 200ml cold water and bring to 127\u00b0C (260\u00b0F). Meanwhile, whisk two egg whites to form firm peaks<\/li>\n<li>Remove the sugar and glucose mix from the heat once it has reached temperature. Then add gelatine leaves and the water you soaked it in, and stir to combine<\/li>\n<li>Pour the gelatinous mix onto the egg whites gradually, then add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and combine. Tip: At this point you can add food colouring to create coloured marshmallows!<\/li>\n<li>Whisk the mixture at a high speed for 10 min<\/li>\n<li>Grease a deep tin or tray with vegetable oil, then pour in the marshmallow mix<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate for at least 2 hrs (ideally overnight) Tip: Make sure the tray is level otherwise your marshmallow mix will run!<\/li>\n<li>Remove from the fridge, dust your fingers and a chopping board with a mix of cornflour and icing sugar, gently prise the marshmallow sheet out of the tray and lay it onto the dusted chopping board before cutting into cubes or shapes and dusting with a mix of icing sugar and cornflour to stop them sticking together<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This fantastic recipe makes light, cloudlike marshmallows \u2013 perfect for sandwiching into s\u2019mores.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13042\" src=\"https:\/\/gousto.gurucloud.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Smores.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"3000\" height=\"3000\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gousto.gurucloud.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Smores.png 3000w, https:\/\/gousto.gurucloud.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Smores-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/gousto.gurucloud.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Smores-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/gousto.gurucloud.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Smores-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/gousto.gurucloud.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Smores-1024x1024.png 1024w, https:\/\/gousto.gurucloud.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Smores-200x200.png 200w, https:\/\/gousto.gurucloud.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Smores-180x180.png 180w, https:\/\/gousto.gurucloud.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Smores-100x100.png 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 706px) 89vw, (max-width: 767px) 82vw, 740px\" \/>Take two biscuits (graham crackers if you can find them, but good old Rich Tea or Digestives work a treat) and pop a square of chocolate on one of the biscuits.<\/p>\n<p>Pop your golden toasted marshmallow on top of the chocolate square, put your second biscuit on top and <i>squish <\/i>\u2013 so sweet and easy.<\/p>\n<p>Your kid will love getting involved too \u2013 the s\u2019more the merrier!<\/p>\n<p>Marshmallows are so easy and won\u2019t disappoint, so get your mixing bowls out, share the recipe with your friends, try \u2018em and tag @goustocooking in your pics.<\/p>\n<p>Want even more seasonal inspiration?
