Chickpeas in under 2 hours!
A few simple steps are necessary to cook your chickpeas in only two hours. What you need is an oven, an ovenproof clay pot, water and, if desired, some spices. But that is already the advanced version.
First, pre-heat the oven to 160C. Then rinse and discard any dark, withered or broken ones. Place the ones that pass your test in an ovenproof clay pot, together with a pinch of salt. Now would also be the time to add some spices, herbs, black pepper, or any taste you would like to give your chickpeas. Pour water over the chickpeas until they are covered by approximately 1 inch. Place a lid on top and off we go.
Put the pot into the oven and cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Not fully cooked? No problem, just give them a stir, add some more water if it already has absorbed, and keep on cooking.
The maximum cooking time should be 2 hours. Just check every 10-15min to evaluate the progress.
Two days? More like two hours!
