Super-Quick Fish Pie
Last week we asked our Facebook fans what we should make with our first batch of delicious smoked fish samples and the answer came back loud and clear: fish pie. Who were we to go against popular demand, especially when the demand was such a timely and inspired one!
Our chefs were keen to make their version as quick as possible for easy cooking after a long week but also as deliciously comforting as a slow cooked version would be, with creamy crème fraîche and a little taste of luxury from hot smoked salmon fillets.
The pie is finished with the distinctive flavours of dill and a bay leaf to add even more warmth to the flavour. To cap it all, the crunchy mustard-dressed beans on the side add the exact right amount of sharpness to break up the sublime smoothness of the pie itself.
