Two Mood And Caffeine-Boosting Breakfast Smoothies

If you’re anything like Joe, you’re already a big fan of a time-saving smoothie breakfast. So in honour of our friend, I’ve whipped up two breakfast-inspired, nutrient-packed smoothie recipes – so you can kickstart your 5-a-day The Body Coach way.
The big breakfast
Your coffee and cereal in one.
Ingredients
1 banana
100ml cold brew coffee
2 tbsp oats
2 dates
250ml milk (I used oat, but any will do)
A pinch of sea salt
A handful of ice cubes
Peel the banana and chop into bite size chunks. Chop your dates in half, then remove the stones.
Add all the ingredients to a blender, and blend until smooth.
Tip: Not using cold brew? Before you add it to your blender, make sure it’s cool enough to touch.
The migh-tea matcha
Prefer tea? Go green with our fruity gamechanger.
Ingredients
½ avocado
A handful of spinach
1 tsp matcha tea powder
1 green apple
1 kiwi
A handful of ice
Peel and chop the apple and kiwi into chunks. Destone and peel the avocado.
Stir the matcha powder in 200ml of cold water to dissolve.
Add all your ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth.
