You may have seen back in September that after listening to feedback from customers we introduced the option to add wine to your boxes. Not ones to rest on our laurels, we’ve kept bringing exciting wines into the Gousto Market over the last 6 months.
This week however, we’ve stepped it up a notch, introducing a selection of 6 new wines at once for you to add to your next box! Once you’ve chosen your recipes for your second box, you will unlock the wonders of the Gousto Market, where you can select these wines and a whole host of other goodies for us to add into your box. Select your recipes now and explore the Gousto Market first-hand!
You’ll struggle to find these bottles in your local supermarket; we’ve worked with our suppliers to make sure we’ve got something for everyone. Find out more about our new selection below:
Big Bombora Shiraz
A ‘bombora’ is a large sea wave breaking over a reef. True to its name, this South Eastern Australian Shiraz is an ocean of juicy cassis flavours with ripples of red berries, spice, brambles and black pepper. It will go perfectly with our Spiced Lamb or Double Chipotle Burgers.
This smooth red is made in the heart of Italy from grapes picked at their ripest. It’s brimming with the fruity aromas of cherries, plums, raspberries and redcurrants with a rewarding, long finish. At its best with meaty or tomato based dishes such as our Hoisin Beef Meatballs.
San Giorgio Pinot Grigio
This vibrant, refreshing Pinot Grigio sets itself apart from the pack, thanks to a commitment from its makers to preserve the aromatic scents which define the grape’s variety. It’s refreshing citrus and floral notes make it a match made in heaven for our Miso-Crusted Fish with Noodle Broth!
Valle Berta Gavi
Made from Cortese grapes harvested on the hills of Alessandria in Northern Italy, this elegant, dry white is at its best with our seafood or pork dishes. Citrus aromas of grapefruit and lime couple with white peach notes for a crisp, clean finish.
Camino Real Blanco Rioja
This white Rioja goes particularly well with mildly spiced dishes, and will be great with chicken and fish recipes such as our Harissa Fish on Red Pepper Cous Cous. Notes of date and banana make it a flavoursome, intriguing wine with just the right amount of complexity.
Pavillion des Trois Arches Merlot
This juicy, full-bodied Merlot is made with grapes from Languedoc region of France. It’s Vin de Pays d’Oc classification allows experimentation, resulting in a style that is smooth, rich and modern. It’s a sumptuous partner to red meats, such as our Spiced Lamb Burger.
